Well, we made it through all the holidays without any major issues! Logan did get somewhat confused with how long Christmas is supposed to last. We celebrated Christmas with our friends in Valdosta, GA on Dec 20th. Then Christmas with my side of the family on Christmas. Spent New Years day with Adam's mom and celebrated Christmas. So he had Christmas presents to open every week for three weeks. He absolutely loved it! Everytime we would hand him a gift he would say "For Me?".
Christmas in Tampa was so much fun. We spent a day at the Lowry Park Zoo and he really enjoyed watching the monkeys and playing with the penguins. He had one penguin following him back and forth. It was so funny and adorable. His cousins joined us for the day at the zoo and had fun showing him the different animals and telling stories about previous visits. We let them play in the water and I just had to laugh. Logan was having a blast in his swimming trunks, running through the sprays and getting soaked. Meanwhile other parents and families are walking past in their sweaters and coats. It was like 70 that day....you can tell we definately adjusted to cooler weather. The next day (my niecess birthday) was spent at Clearwater Beach. The water was a little chilly, but Logan went running right in and jumping around. He was splashing everyone and would jump with the waves. We went out to where the water was up to his chest and everytime the waves would come, he would hold on to one of us. I asked him if he wanted to go closer to the beach and his answer was always "No momma, I playing". We thought about going on The Little Toot, but decided that the ocean breeze might be a little too much for my niece. We have always seen dolphins while riding on The Little Toot, so I was a little bummed that we wouldn't see dolphins this trip. Low and behold, while we were swimming, some dolphins started to jump just past the swimming line. I got to see dolphins!!! Logan told us he could jump like a dolphin.
Christmas day was busy, but wonderful. We got to see almost all of our family and Logan did very well with keeping focus. It seemed on that day that he had no sensory problems at all! There was a lot of activity and he LOVED it. He wanted to help everyone open their gifts. We would ask him to take a gift to someone and he would hand it to them saying "Happy Birthday". By the end of the day, everything was "Merry Christmas". Near the end of the week he was telling us that he was ready to go home. As soon as we got home, he wanted to go see Grandpa again...LOL.
After Christmas with Adam's mom on New Years, we began playing his 5th birthday party. When I asked him what kind of party he wanted, he said "Transformers Wall E". And so began the planning.
